A hello to all …

A hello to all who get a chance to read this..Its been a while since any one of us has shared anything and frankly I don’t know why I am here as well. Well let me give it a shot.
So almost 2 years back the first member of 506 left and soon after there was another member going away. This was the start of a new beginning for a lot of us. No one knew what was in store and we all expected the best. Well with just 4 members left back 506 soon turned into 404 and life just continued and moved on at its own pace. There were times of happiness and joy with the success each of us had in their lives. Then at the end of the year we had the first official couple from 506. and that meant another change in our lives. Another member moving out and this time from 404.
Soon after we had our second official couple from 506/404; and we had another new place now 404 changed to 7XX and we have since then had 3 places to go to. We moved on our lives moved on and the times surely have moved.
With so much change happening and all of us getting so much occupied and pulled into our new lives it has just been so difficult at times. I sit here looking at the picture of all of them together once again and it brings back the memories of the time spent together, the fun we had and how i can never and will never be able to live those moments again. I feel sad that we have welcomed our new life so much that we have almost forgotten about what and who lay in our past. Well but i guess that’s how life works..You continue ahead and leave back the past for them to form memories.
i guess its just that at times it becomes really lonely and then you cherish the times when you actually had the good times which had problems of their own but still you had others to share your thoughts with and talk to. It is really weird but sometimes i really feel as to why just why do we really have to grow up? But I think we all have wanted to grow be independent.
I went to school made great friends and at that times the only thought that came to my mind was oh when will i grow older and just leave the rules in school and go to college which has no rules and i can do what i want. I went to college and soon realized that it wasn’t as fun it looked. Granted i had more independence and not as much control over me as in school but i missed those times. You had to care so less in school. Now that i was in college I had to think what would happen when i pass out. Will i get a job? I just wanted to pass college and get a job then it would be so much easier..my money, no more studies and i am independent. I made a lot of friends in college , some great ones and then graduated and got a job and once again this is not what i had expected. Life was not supposed to be so difficult..now that i have job i was supposed to be able to do whatever i chose. Well i was wrong again..late work, tensions about work, less time with friends.. No this is not exactly what i had thought. Its then that i realized that even though when i was young i had rules and control over me but those were the times i did not really think about what i need to do. I had friends who i could talk to for hours, play when i wanted and not care about how i will go about in my life.
Now i have grown older, my friends have their families, we have started to grow apart..I had never imagined that happening. Why does everything have to change and that too so drastically?? I just fail to understand. Well i guess these are the lessons of life that people keep talking about. We have had great friends and have had great moments with each other which i shall always remember and hope that we have several other great moments like these and that we all get busy but to an extent that we just don’t lose touch.

Surprises, shocks, food and more…

So Bigg Boss season 4 has begun. With much Bang! Now that 506 is 404, we have progressed from being lazy yet infrequent bloggers to completely non-existent. But my attempt to rejuvenate this bunch continues with gusto.

Since we are infrequent writers, there will be a lot to cover to keep everyone up to speed. In spite of the name of this blog, we no longer remain the wall painters. As much fun as it was, much physical effort was expended in re-doing the wall to its original state of pristine whiteness. And let’s face it, we aren’t the most physically active bunch. So instead, we move to color da window. Every occasion will see a new picture painted as celebration. Art is found in much abundance in this household.

The very first and much awaited guest of this house was the original member of the much beloved 322! Teja bhai as she is much fondly remembered by some graced us with her ‘abundant’ presence for a short period to celebrate the festival of lights. The other big surprise for some members of this clan was the return of Mohammed Ajmal Pandey who agreed to come out of his ‘vanvaas’ for a few days to indulge in the much awaited fight of terrorists vs counter-terrorists in the ruins of offices in Italy and such other places!!! Super productive were those times which extended into the wee hours of the morning!!

Then to keep the excitement going, there was ‘The Case of the Missing Bride’. I still hope against hope for another budding writer to describe the nerve-wrecking tale in much detail. Since this also involves certain characters that I would not be too capable of writing about I shall skip to the next most exciting happening.

The bride as mentioned above is scheduled to become so sometime late in the season and we anticipate this auspicious close of the season to be a fitting ceremony. In preparation, the bride and groom were treated with much grandeur to their very own ‘singledom’ celebrations, the details of which shall not be disclosed in public view by either party.

To bring the Bigg Boss season to a near-close we had the very first season of our very own Master Chef 404. This involved a tension filled day of delicacies being prepared in the not-so-spacious kitchens of 404 by the very capable ladies of the house. Being a challenge, this was judged by the in-house doctor and the 2 guest judges who traveled from afar exclusively for this event. And not without good reason. The flavors were spectacular, presentations artistic, originality mind-blowing and textures-oh so satisfying! Though there was a united victory in this challenge we look forward to role-reversing challenges in the near future. But the food- DELICIOUS! This also warrants a mention of the brilliant dessert prepared by one of our own judges-Top Chef Just Desserts caliber I say.

Life is never dry in this house of the Bigg Boss! Keep yourselves tuned for more updates.. As to food, this applies to life too-Tasty Dish Warna Game Finish!

Bigg boss season 4

Despite the protests from Shiv Sena supremo ‘d guy steve’ and his close aid Rhoda, bigg boss season 4 is all set to begin tomorrow at 5 pm. There was a huge controversy surrounding this show since the idea first appeared a few months back. With falling TRP and rising costs, the makers finally decided to go ahead with the show. Here is a look at some of the contestants in the house:Disclaimer: All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

Contestant Number 1. (A)Veena Malik : Ex-girlfriend of the notorious Pakistani Match-fixer Mohammed Desai. She courageously disclosed all the wrong doings of Desai including his links with narcotics and the match-fixing mafia.

Contestant number 2. Shilpa Parihar: A firebrand politician from the southern state of Karnataka and a former woman bandit. Notorious for her ways of torturing her fiancé.

Contestant number3. Baba Bhyazmi: A criminal lawyer by profession.He came into the limelight when he defended Terror Guru Mohammed Ajmal Pandey in the terrorist attack case.

Contestant number 4. Sarah Shah: Sara is an Indian model and actress. She won the Miss Gujarat title in 2007. She is seen by many to be the one capable of standing against Aveena Malik. The rumors say she will be sharing her space with Aveena.

Apart from the regular contestants, more celebrities can enter the house with the wild card. Followings are the favorites to be the wild card entrants.

Wildcard entrant 1. Ali Shah: He is in relationship with Sarah and planning to tie a knot soon. He is known for his sharp wits and sense of humor to go with his hot temper. Many experts consider him as a potential winner of this season.

Wildcard entrant 2. Mohammed Ajmal Pandey: Presently serving life imprisonment in Atlanta jail for his heinous acts. The makers of this show have submitted a plea to release him on parole to be able to participate in the show. According to a recent survey conducted by a private news channel, he is predicted to be the biggest crowd puller amongst all the participants.

So don’t forget to watch us live starting tomorrow, Friday the 8th.

The heights of productivity

Ok, so here I am-attending the algal biomass conference in phoenix (which FYI, is hot!!) and I am bored!! Out of my wits.. If I have to hear one more algae lecture I might just pass out (unfortunately, I know the inevitable..there is another lecture I have to attend in about 10 min) But I figured, while I’m getting bored, I’ll make the most use of my time, and make my presence felt on the dormant ‘506’ blog… something which I would recommend d other bloggers here to do..

So..there’s some major organizational changes going on around this household… downgrading, and marrying and running away from marrying(there’s 2 for this one..) and simply running away – some people have decided that they will actively work towards making their absence felt… and they are brilliant at it.. In a not-so-subtle way: mr. halwa- u need to ramp up your game or u will be disowned from this household..

In the tale of bhya-nagri vs. Boston… v have it on good faith that there shall no longer be the pull between the two states.. Boston has officially been denounced.. vre only now waiting for the ‘official bosses’ to give the same verdict and let our ‘vanvaas’ relegated ram return to his sita… if that was too much to digest-I apologize—algae does that to my brain..it’s all the DHA and stuff in it…

The other major happening… the wall is no longer colored! Heart break tht it caused, it probably also saved us deposit money- now we have this major issue of figuring out how to re-create the brilliancy that the wall was, in our new apt. without the attached hassle.. well, we have sometime to worry about tht. The reason the wall had to be white washed is cause vre moving to a smaller apt… so 506 will now be 504… in a diff building n all but with now a beautiful pool view… and the works! the thought of moving has created much concern in the mind of the author of this very post.. no points for guessing y.. with much abundance in materialistic goods (with all good reason and excellent taste, if I may say so myself) it’s a daunting task to pack up everything and move a few hundred feet and then unpack everything… this has also caused much emotional trauma, with the constant pressure put on the tiny being by her roommates… who fail to see that this is eventually for a greater good… which u will see in time!

Our impromptu night-time discussions continue with gusto… heated, intelligent, judgmental, sentimental, bitchy/dumb/jerky/smart with statistical records (that’s a latest feature-courtesy mr. bhya-for the times where we might have to go and prove our findings to the world-futuristic I say!) they are very much valued and welcomed..what we now hope for is discussions with a more complete house…

And I have managed to not attend the lecture I was supposed to attend.. but no complains.. with this, I shall blog off and hope there are more posts to look fwd to….

Bhya-nagri vs Bhoston

Good to get direct feeds from Bhya-ardhangini…Sada sukhi raho !! I have suddenly turned green here from “blue” (neel)… ..after hearing ppl are eating all these bhya-nagri’s alipaak, jalebi and delicacies which I doubt would make anyone delicate..uhhmm..I hope bhya-swami and -swamini must have surely added some ounces enuf to compete with me..

Direct feeds from Bhoston syndicates..my tanhayees, the life has become monochrome after coloring the walls in 506. The same old routine…9-5 but which I enjoy a lot thats the only time when I can experience some color though just blue and white (my companies colors )…After 5, the life is really black and white..always looking outside the window and thinking of a long weekend every month…where I can fill my palette with the lost hues and not wash it until next long weekend… And who is arranging a surprise party, Iwasn’t aware of that…expectations in bhya-nagri have risen hight, though we cant hink about it and it will depend on what goodies we get from the bya-nagri.

Door des main baithe towards the end of my jorney I am getting nostalgic and senti about all things. The spill overs of this sentigiri is coming onto this blog. There is no containing it just like the gulf oil spill.

It has been a good one this trip. I would like to start by thanking my mata & pita, my priya bhayion and beheno and mere pyare dost. Getting engaged to bhya swami was the highlight of this trip. I could not stop laughing my guts out. The photos are proof. The photos in which i appear serious were becoz the members of 506 parivar were missing this wonderful and momentous day in Bhya swami’s life.

Bhya swami and I had an awesome time in our hometowns. If nothing else I am sure he can become a good tour guide for his hometown. We had the much hyped Alipaak. It was better than what I made you guys eat. I had the privilege of making bisibele bhaath for his family which was much appreciated. I was quite a sensation in his hometown if I may say so.

The trip started looking up as soon as Bhya swami left humra des. Got together with my gang of girls in bangalore and had a blast. Rememberd u girls every minute I shopped. I was choosing stuff based on whether you will be proud of me I must have eaten 2 months worth of food so far coz I ate double my usual serving every time. I have been especially enjoying jalebis this time around. Had a grand time there.

These last days I am spending eating good food and lolling at home. Am eager to come back and fill your lives with joy again. See you lot soon. (I expect to see Armstrong bhaiyya and Khan saab at our surprise engagement party). So long folks.

Take it Lite baby….

With the new year, there has been an influx of v-need-to-get-fit vibes into our house…

I have no clue of how it started… but this is d status…v have a range of BMIs (Body-Mass-Index for the uninformed..) starting from 17 to 25 with stops at 19,20,22, 23…:D the entire range…

So the aim is to concentrate all those myriad values at the central location of about 20ish which is the highly healthy state as I know….23 and above is tending towards overweight, below 19 is tending towards underweight… And in case of a particular candidate..to just come below 23 which is the BMI of a similar weighted individual….:P

The first step to this…an increase in the purchase, intake (and sometimes trashing) of fruits… We have a designated fruit manager who’s job is to ensure that no one leaves the dinner table without their share of fruits… Some people still manage to get away but they shall be brought to order soon… And this is more to do with eating healthy than losing weight… A must-do approach…

The second step…Reduce the intake of rice and…wait for it….Potatoes!!!…That’s just carbs..n well…who needs d extra carbs …(me…yell d ppl who love their rice n starch..o well ..sorry!) What would be interesting to see is how long this protocol lasts in a house where rotis are not made so often and the last, second-to-last and pretty much every resort most days is a dish containing potatoes… Now, not to be cynical…This is very possible… Only needs a little creativity… Very highly possible in house filled with brilliance…

The third step..and the most difficult..and one I’m very willingly going to keep away from is…exercise..Gym!! Yoga!! Running!!! eeeks…. but the best way to stay fit… I know it but I’m going to be arrogant enough to not do it.. Sim ply because I lack the motivation.. But anyone who genuinely wants to lose some calories in a healthy, proportionate and they-wont-come-back-if-i-start-eating-again way…this is the road to take…But so far we have a couple takers for this route..let’s see how many go down there..

The fourth step…No excess calories in the form of butter, cheese and the works.. Now there is no existence without these glorious ingredients in your diet… but the fact also remains that you wont be in existence too long if you don’t control your intake of the trans fats..saturated fats…LDL and all that scary stuff… Now..as it stands..v really don’t have too much of an intake of too much fat except for the occasional extra cheese pizza..or delicious fried samosas/onion rings/ cutlets….crap..i need an evening snack now… but anyways…once in a while indulging is always forgiven… n heck..u need tht once in a while indulging…

ok..so that’s just a few rules and regulations that we have..nothing brand new..or totally out of the world..nothing we invented…. but something we hope to enforce…and lets keep a track of those BMI’s to see where we all land up….

So good luck to the foodies..the non-foodies and o god help the pounds that are going to be shedded…

Aah…2010… Welcome to the new year with all the wonderful hopes of a better life, happier times and more blogss…:D

The hues were taking a break as 2009 came to an end with not-so-much of a bang.. Well, one color was missing but had a replacement..:P After a toast of champagne-apple cider to ring in this new decade, it was sleep till u’re hungry for the first day of the year…(o n a new netflix account!)

And 2009 finally saw the wall being colored!! And what a feat I must say…A late nite shopping trip…a later nite of painting… and a day of photography…Though to remind the awesome painters…the deed is still incomplete…it’s all in our ‘hands’ to finish it…But whatever has been done would put the best photo studio in town to shame… Tripod, light lamps, black costumes, props…. And of course Target…:D what can I say…Whn v decide to do something….it may take about 4 months to get it done…but it has to be done… n it’s done in style baby!! All the way…

To bring anyone and everyone who ever reads this up-to-date, there were a few graduations, some more getting old, a few birthday cakes (what baking i say!! ) a visit from gud ol’ santa ooo and THE trip…. Crap! That wud take one entireee blog entry to describe….well that shall come up shortly…The much awaited, talked about, and planned about trip to FLORIDAAA!!

anyways…so that was a recap of the past few months of the past yr tht was…and with tht it’s bye bye birdie….

A mix of primaries

The very reason this blog came into existence is because apart from dinner table debates, we needed a place to constructively and calmly put forward our wide spread opinions on everything under the sun… And wide spread they are…cause we are a bunch of people who differ in every aspect you can think of..Boys, girls, old, not-so-old, engineers, scientists, north-south… And most debates are heated too..cause unfortunately/fortunately each one of us is as strong headed as the next and always ‘assumes’ his/her point is the one that makes absolute sense… now most times, this is actually exciting..Keeps us alive and keeps life enjoyable…as long as v know that at d end of d day, v are sharing these views with people v share lives with.. d opinions tht differ r opinions of people v come home to everyday… ppl v actually look fwd to meet…

I’m still suffering from d aftermath of d debate/discussion/argument tht I was at the crux of last nite… What started as a friendly debate on an existing blog entry turned into a discussion I was dreading and had tried my best to keep away from, for a long time..Precisely because d other person primarily involved in this discussion was d last person I wanted to have an argument with…d last person I wud want to defy… Also, because a debate between two ppl who have equally bad tempers is never pretty… But this discussion also involved all d other members of d ‘club’.. Some who though interested in knowing d story behind it all, kept running to d bedroom intermittently..Even tho at times it was to keep a runnin commentary on this blog…lol! And for the first time with respect to d topic in discussion, much to our pleasure, Baba Bhya Swamy gave his vishesh tippanis no matter from which side of the debate..

Strong views, right or wrong, understood or not, are always going to remain… the only thing I stick by in d entire thing is my conviction…N I urge everyone.. n ppl kno whn I refer to thm here…To stick by wht u believe in…n who u believe in…n I believe in this bunch of ppl rite here… to kno thy will always ‘stand-by’ me…tht v will always stand by each other…n once again..not to take dis in d literal sense of d word… difference in views, difference is support, difference in actions..will exist….shud exist…. But wht exists beyond all this is d fact tht v will always remain one family..one blog…. Each is a primary here, but v complement each other… in a way tht is shown to me each passing day…

In a place where relationships have been broken, friendships have been ruined; love and faith have been reciprocated with mistrust and hate, it still warms my heart to know tht each day I drive home to a bunch of ppl who are above and beyond this… who will tell u: dude, u screwed up… but will never wash u off the palette…
